The first step to improving your credit score is to understand your credit report. Whether you just need a copy of your credit report or you want to improve your credit score to get a loan or buy a home, our counselors can help.

 

Get a copy of your credit report

Everyone should have a copy of their credit report and know their credit score. We make it easy for you to get a Tri-Merge credit report which includes reports from the largest credit reporting agencies — Experian, Equifax and Trans Union. There is a $35 fee for this service and you must request the report in person. You will be required to provide a photo ID and complete a Credit Report Release Form. For married couples, both parties must be present to show ID and sign the release form.

Credit report counseling

Sometimes you need more than just knowing your credit score. You need help understanding the report, how to correct any errors, and how to improve your score. With our credit report counseling, a CCCS counselor will review your credit report with you, answer your questions, and help you figure out your next best step.

Fees for credit report counseling

  • Individual session: $75 (includes credit report)

  • Joint session: $105 (includes credit report)

  • If you already have a copy of your credit report, the session will be $40
