Post (Pre-Discharge) Bankruptcy Education

An individual who has filed for bankruptcy protection will complete a 2-hour financial education course.  This course includes: “Rebuilding Following Bankruptcy,” “Wants Versus Needs,” “Developing Sound Financial Habits,” “Establishing a Budget,” “Developing a New Plan for the Budget,” “Understanding and Using Credit,” “Credit Reports and Scores,” “Rebuilding Your Credit,” “Protect Yourself from Predatory Lending and Identity Theft,” and “Understanding Insurance.”  A certificate is issued to all parties when the session is completed. There is a $50 fee for each person taking this course.
